Working From Home.

Well it seems the majority of us are all working from home now. For someone who goes into client’s homes for a living, working remotely from my own office has caused me to realize I needed to upgrade my working space. Let me show you some fun new things I found to make my office work better and harder for me, as well as keeping the pretty aesthetic that I need….or want rather lol.

In my world pictures speak a thousand words, so let me just show you what I did! Like my sign reminds me, keep it simple!

I realized I needed my daily files at my finger tips. I’m doing a lot more virtual sessions these days and have more client files that I need to refer back to on a daily basis. I also love having a desk calendar to jot down quick notes when I’m on the phone.

I’ve always loved pretty office supplies and I was immediately drawn to these gold and acrylic accessories! They are so beautiful I don’t even mind them sitting out! This tape dispenser is too pretty to hide in a drawer.

The other two items I added were these acrylic hanging file boxes and these beautiful acrylic drawers that hold all my Neat Freak McKinney business cards and thank you cards. They work hard to organize my supplies and again, are pretty enough to leave out.

How I made it work better for me.

I realized right away that I needed to clear off my desk area. So I followed my own steps.

  1. I removed everything from the space (just like I do if I’m in a pantry or closet).

  2. I kept only the things I needed on a daily basis.

  3. I upgraded the spaces that I needed to access daily.

  4. I ordered some fun new supplies from my favorite store.

  5. Then put it all back together. Ahhhhhh. It’s working so much better for me.

How are you all doing out there? Are you working more from home? Do you need to create and set up an at home office space? I can help you. Contact me here for a virtual session. Stay safe and let me help you get organized!
