Who else has been doing All.The.Things. during quarantine? I know I have lol. To go from working nonstop to being at home nonstop was quite the change for me. The silver lining is that I was able to get to all my own projects. The first one being my grandkids playroom!

My Goal: Create a fun yet organized space for them!

My goal for updating the playroom was to make it so fun that they wanted to be up there. Our playroom is upstairs and the dilemma was that all of the toys kept migrating downstairs. I’m all for that, but at the end of the day I wanted to create a space that they couldn’t wait to go to. A place to call their own.

We have a total of eight grand babies and another on the way! Five of them live here in McKinney and for that we are so grateful! Four girls and one boy live just down the street. I wanted the space to be a spot for all the girls to play with their dolls, and have a place to create, but also a fun spot for Jack to have his own spot as well. Adding in this art and coloring table was my first change. It’s so cute, has tons of organizational space in the drawers, is low to the ground, and pretty….bonus for me! I love that I can order extra rolls of craft paper too!

Jack and Papa love doing Legos together so I knew I wanted to incorporate some Lego storage for them. This portable Lego Organizer has three drawers that hold a ton! They were all in shoe boxes prior to this, so they had fun organizing them into the drawers. The drawers come with a lego plate to create a fun and unique label on.

I love that it’s portable enough that he can move it anywhere he wants to create. Bonus: it comes with a lego sheet for the top!

I love that they are stackable too!

One other thing that was missing in the play room was a place to store dolls and stuffed animals. These pretty stackable bins fit perfectly! I just couldn’t decide whether to stack them or separate them under the book shelves. Which way do you like them? I love that I have options! I used these adorable baskets for doll house accessories and baby clothes. They come in such fun animal designs. I love them all!

In the closet I hung up all the dress up clothes and created a space for stroller parking. I keep the American Girl Dolls up on the shelf, out of baby sister’s reach, and store the American Girl doll clothes and accessories in a lidded bin similar to this one.

I love these dolls! They were my daughter’s dolls growing up and now her daughters are playing with them. Seems like yesterday. Such sweet memories. The storage bench is perfect for storing the clothes and doubles as a seat too. Do you keep your kids’ special toys? I’m so glad I did!

The dollhouse can easily be moved to the floor, or up on the table, however they decide! Same with the lego organizer, so easy to move around. I like the flexibility of the room now. I want them to play and get creative anyway they like!
