Fridge & Freezer

One of the things I love about being a brand ambassador is that I get to try out new products as they come in. I am firm on my decision that I won’t recommend anything to you until I try it out and love it first. Today I’m going to show you some new products for the fridge, freezer and pantry! Come see what’s new and then share your thoughts with me in the comments. I love to hear feedback.

Fridge & Freezer.

Step one: Decant

So many people want ideas on how to organize their fridge. They are tired of wasting food, forgetting about food (because it gets lost in the back), and not knowing exactly what they have in the fridge. They get to the store and buy duplicates of what is already there because they couldn't see it or find it. I’m here to help you.

One of the ways I combat this is by using clear bins! I love the new produce bins and berry bins from The Home Edit line at The Container Store.

1. You can see exactly what you have, and how much of it is left.

2. The berry bins have an air flow insert so your berries stay fresher longer.

3. Everything stays contained and together.

4. Bins help keep your refrigerator clean.

5. No more wasting!

Speaking of keeping berries lasting longer, here is another tip! When you get home from the store, put your berries (this works for all kinds) into a four quart bowl, add 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, and fill the rest with water. Let berries soak for an hour, drain, rinse, and lay out on a towel to dry. When they are completely dry, (don’t skip this step), put them into the berry bin, and enjoy! They really do last longer this way, plus it kills all the spores and baby bugs in there.

They come in two sizes and stack perfectly with the produce bins, the divided fridge bin, and the egg bin shown below. When you decant your eggs, (just like everything else), you won’t be surprised when you grab the carton and there’s only two eggs left when you need four.

Next Step: Label

I’m really big on labeling if you didn’t know that already. Labels help everyone in the family. Where is it, where does it go when I’m done, and where do I put it away when I get home from the store? I’m big on everyone in the family helping. Get your kids involved when putting groceries away. Get them involved in cooking, and making their own snacks. Labels help with all of this!

I even label the freezer. These divided freezer bins are perfect for sorting like with like items. Have a second fridge and freezer? Even better. You know exactly what you have in that one too when you use labels and bins.

Pantry

I’m so excited to show you these new open front stacking bins for the pantry. Here’s how I used them in my pantry. They pair perfectly with the stacking canisters, and narrow pantry bin. I used the “baby bins” to separate the bars that I had left. They fit perfectly into the open front bin. Why does this make me giddy excited. lol!

I love how everything coordinates with each other. I already had the canisters and these new bins fit perfectly along side them. They thought of everything.

And don’t even get me started on the clear bin clip labels. I was so excited when I saw them, my hubby said he didn’t understand my giddiness…..lol! Aren’t they so pretty! Again, labels in the pantry help everyone in the family. I’m adding these to my regular rotation with my steady eddy bin clips. Organizers dream. It’s the little touches that make everything come together isn’t it?

T.H.E. New Cereal Canisters!

T.H.E. New Cereal Canisters!

One last thing I want to show you is the new cereal canisters. They hold the big box store size of cereal or two large boxes from the grocery store. I used them recently for a client and I loved them. The seal is so tight and they have a pour spout!

Ok that’s what’s new around here. What do you think? I love trying out new products for you as they come out. The best part of this new line? They all coordinate with one another. It’s mix and match heaven. Add to what you already have! It’s the best way.
