How to Organize Kitchen Drawers

March is synonymous with spring cleaning. Everything outside is coming back to life, the trees green up, the flowers and sun start coming out. This time of year always gets me in the mood to “shed my winter weight” AKA clutter.

I recently did a total purge of my kitchen drawers with the help of The Container Store’s amazing bamboo drawer organization line. I will link everything at the end of the blogpost for you! Let me show you what I did.

First Step in Organizing:

Take it all out.

Sort into like with like piles.

Donate anything you no longer use or love.

Trash any broken items and those expired ketchup & soy sauce packets and chopsticks. ;-)

Second Step:

Measure your drawers length, width, and height. So important to do this before you buy anything.

Line up your utensils in your drawer as you want them.

Now get the perfect organizer for the job.

Let me show you what I used:

Step Three:

Now that you have the perfect organizer, put it all back together!

I had a good pile of items I no longer used or were not what I loved, set aside to donate, and now all that is left is what I actually use every day!
